What is collected, and why

PurposeWho processes itLawful basis
Serving the page The web server records the usual request log: IP address, time, page, user agent. Kept short-term for security and diagnostics. Legitimate interests — running and securing the site
Advertising Google AdSense. Google may set cookies or read device identifiers to select and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same one. Consent, where required
Audience measurement Ahrefs Web Analytics. Cookieless: it counts page views and referrers and does not identify you or follow you between sites. Legitimate interests
Audience measurement Google Analytics 4, if enabled. This one does set cookies, so in the UK and EEA it stays in cookieless mode until you consent. Consent
Remembering your nation Your choice of England & Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland is stored in your own browser (localStorage) so the page opens on it next time. It is never sent anywhere. Strictly necessary for a feature you asked for

Cookies and consent

If you are in the UK or the EEA you will see a Google-certified consent message before any advertising or analytics cookie is set. You can decline, and you can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer — withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Declining does not remove the ads; it makes them non-personalised.

Google's own description of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn off personalised advertising for your Google account at myadcenter.google.com.

International transfers

The operator is established in Mexico and the advertising and analytics providers named above are established in the United States and Singapore. Data may therefore be transferred outside the UK. Google relies on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses for these transfers.

How long it is kept

Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted. Retention for advertising and analytics data is set by Google and Ahrefs under their own policies, not by this site. The nation preference stays in your browser until you clear your site data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time. Write to info@nextbankholiday.co.uk.

If you are not satisfied with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This site is a reference tool for general audiences. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially the revised version will replace this page. There is no mailing list to notify.
